    Lorsque j' ai visionné cette photo hier , je pensai à te donner le nom que tu as inscrit . Ce n' est pas la seule espèce à avoir cette morphologie , mais cette belle couleur orangée et ces longs poils qui bordent la marge m' orientait vers cette espèce .

    Pourquoi pas Sarcodon imbricatum, sous feuillus, et alors! Je l'ai déjà trouvé moi-même sous feuillus, les livres ne sont pas toujours une science exacte!

    We have the same problem. I'm finding the same mushrooms in Missouri growing in woodchips. I also ate very few and suffered no ill affects, they are really good !!. Phillips, in Mushrooms of North America mentions a white variety of S. Rogosoannulata and he says they're not uncommon. His book is the only reference I can find on them. Recently I found only one of the wine capped growing right with this white variety. But they may be S. Coronilla, but everything I can find on Coronilla shows them being more brown in color. Depending on who you're reading, Coronilla's can be really toxic or mildly toxic. Write again if you learn anything on them or if you get the guts to eat a plate load of them....lol

    Has anyone heard of a white variety of Stropharia Rugosoannulata? I've found some mushrooms that meet all the marks of S. Rugo. but my shrooms are creamy white. I cooked some up and ate a very few and they are really good. I found theses mushrooms growing in woodchips in Missouri. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks and great site !!.

    This species no. 139 is probably Sarcodon lepidus or may Sarcodon regalis. Certainly not imbricatus or squamosus which is larger more grey and grows in coniferous forest.
